Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Tour Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Later, enjoy a Kigali city tour including: Kigali Genocide Memorial Local craft markets Panoramic viewpoints of the city’s rolling hills Relax at your hotel in preparation for the safari. Accommodation: Hotel in Kigali Meals: Bed & Breakfast Day 2: Kigali – Transfer to Akagera National Park – Game Drive Early morning departure to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across open plains and wetlands in search of: Lions, elephants, buffalo Giraffes, zebras, antelopes Hippos and crocodiles Accommodation: Lodge in Akagera Meals: Lunch & Dinner Day 3: Akagera Game Drive & Boat Safari – Return to Kigali Early morning game drive for more wildlife viewing. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you may see: Hippos and crocodiles Elephants at the shoreline Rich birdlife After the experience, return to Kigali for overnight. Accommodation: Hotel in Kigali Meals: Breakfast & Lunch Day 4: Kigali – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest – Canopy Walk Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, passing through scenic tea plantations and rolling hills. On arrival, enjoy the famous canopy walk, suspended above the rainforest, offering stunning views and birdlife. Accommodation: Lodge in Nyungwe Meals: Lunch & Dinner Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park Early morning chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest. Spend time observing chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After lunch, drive north toward Volcanoes National Park in the Virunga Mountains. Accommodation: Lodge in Volcanoes area Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 6: Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kigali Early morning briefing at park headquarters, followed by gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes rainforest. Spend one hour with a gorilla family before returning to base. After lunch, drive back to Kigali. Drop-off at hotel or airport depending on departure time. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
