3-Day Akagera National Park Safari

Day 1: Kigali – Transfer to Akagera National Park – Afternoon Game Drive Early morning pick-up from Kigali by your professional driver-guide and departure to Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda. Arrive at the park and begin your first afternoon game drive through the northern savannah plains. Expect to see: Giraffes and zebras Elephants and buffalo Antelopes and warthogs Lions (depending on luck and timing) Enjoy sunset views over the rolling landscapes before heading to your lodge. Accommodation: Lodge inside or near Akagera National Park Meals: Lunch & Dinner Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive – Boat Safari on Lake Ihema After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive exploring different sections of the park. Your guide will track wildlife movements and take you through diverse habitats including savannah, woodlands, and lakeshores. Wildlife you may encounter includes: Lions and rhinos Elephants and buffalo herds Giraffes, zebras, impalas, topis Birds such as fish eagles and storks In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema: Hippos and crocodiles up close Elephants drinking at the shoreline Rich birdlife along the wetlands Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Lodge in Akagera Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Return to Kigali Early morning game drive when animals are most active. This is your best chance to spot predators and enjoy sunrise photography over the savannah. After the game drive, exit the park and begin your journey back to Kigali.
