3-DAY MOUNT KARISIMBI HIKING ITINERARY Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park (Musanze) Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda's beautiful countryside to Musanze, located near Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge, relax, and receive a briefing about the hike. Overnight at a comfortable lodge in Musanze. Day 2: Hike to Mount Karisimbi Base Camp After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by park rangers. Begin your hike through lush rainforest, bamboo forest, and alpine vegetation toward Mount Karisimbi Base Camp. Along the way, enjoy spectacular scenery and the unique flora and fauna of the park. Arrive at the campsite in the afternoon, where you will spend the night in the heart of the mountain.
