Lake Bunyonyi is a deep, scenic freshwater lake located in southwestern Uganda near the border with Rwanda. It is famous for its calm waters, misty hills, and over 20 small islands scattered across the lake.
Known as one of the safest lakes in Africa (no dangerous wildlife like crocodiles or hippos), it is ideal for relaxation after gorilla trekking in nearby Bwindi. Visitors enjoy canoe rides, birdwatching, hiking, and cultural visits to surrounding communities.
